My Story

My name is Chris from Scotland in the UK. I’m a musician, composer, music producer, and an avid music enthusiast. My musical journey began at age 13 with the electric guitar. I was enthralled with the guitar and idols such as Jimmy Page, Jimmy Hendrix, Slash, John Frusciante, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.

As my guitar skills developed, so did my appetite for music and different genres. I began to explore pioneering lyricists and songwriters such as Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. I became engrossed with the acoustic guitar and writing my own songs, instead of just guitar riffs and melodies. As my musical taste and appetite continued to grow and encompass all genres, I became intrigued with musical and sound textures. I was curious about how music was recorded, and produced in a studio setting. How such sound textures could transform, add new colours and dimensions to existing tracks.

This newly found fascination led me to study an honours degree in Audio Production with the SAE Institute. Since then I have continued to develop and work on my passion, proceeding to compose music for films, produce my own and other artist’s music, whilst persistently trying to improve my musical and sound production skills and abilities.
